As cities grow and evolve, new energy vehicle owners in older residential areas face significant challenges related to parking and charging.
To address these pressing issues, we proposed a comprehensive solution that incorporates portable charging stations and an intuitive online app. This approach aims to resolve the charging difficulties while implementing a resource replacement mechanism to optimize parking space utilization, effectively tackling the parking problem.
The design fosters a win-win scenario by enhancing the experience for new energy vehicle owners, maximizing the efficient use of parking resources, and promoting intelligent urban parking management. This initiative not only meets the immediate needs of users but also contributes to the sustainability of urban environments.
How might we solve charging and parking issues for new energy vehicle owners, while improving resource efficiency?

Approach
Journey mapping and service blueprinting revealed key opportunities to improve the charging and parking experience
The serious issue of car occupancy in older communities is exacerbated by the scarcity of charging piles, leading to increased frustration for new energy vehicle owners.
Opaque charging fees and a faulty charging process hinder user confidence and satisfaction.
Creating an online platform or mobile application that allows community residents (electric vehicle owners and fuel vehicle owners) to reserve parking Spaces, can significantly improve the overall experience for users.
During the research phase, I first conducted an in-depth analysis of the user's entire journey to understand their overall experience. I then meticulously broke down each step using service blueprinting, examining interactions, touchpoints, and pain points in detail to uncover deeper insights and identify specific opportunities for improvement.
Through this series of research, I identified the following pain points and opportunities:
Design
Time to Design and Visualize the Ideas
To streamline the project and focus on key user requirements, I reviewed user needs and identified challenges. Subsequently, I created a range of prototypes for the application ,starting from user flow, low-fidelity wireframes and progressing to high-fidelity designs. This iterative process allowed me to refine the design concept and address any identified issues effectively.

Outcome
A user-friendly app creates a win-win situation
To seamlessly combine convenient charging and parking solutions, it enhanced the experience for new energy vehicle owners while fostering a more sustainable urban environment. And a storyboard can clearly tell that.
Knowing the solutions contribute to a more sustainable urban environment inspires me to keep honing my skills and explore innovative solutions that enhance user experiences while positively impacting the community.
This streamlined design helps users quickly access key functionalities, enhancing the overall user experience and reducing the learning curve for new users.
It enables users to secure a parking spot ahead of time, ensuring that they have a designated area upon arrival. I designed a straightforward booking process that minimizes waiting times and maximizes convenience for users.
The charging reservation feature displays charging station costs and user ratings, allowing users to make informed decisions based on pricing and quality.
This feature provides real-time information about available parking spaces within the community. To make it feel easy and friendly, I broke out the process into simple steps.
